Tehran, IRNA – An upgraded version of the Iranian-made missile system Shafaq has been unveiled in the presence of Iran’s Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi.

At the unveiling ceremony on Saturday, General Mousavi also unveiled a night-vision device called Yusuf.

Shafaq is a long-range smart precision missile system that can hit the target in a radius of 20 kilometers.

The airborne and anti-armor missile systems and the Yusuf night vision device have been designed and made by experts in Iran’s Aerospace Force.

Shafaq missiles are of the fire-and-forget type. They are also capable of carrying out operations in extreme weather conditions and during day and night. The missiles can also be installed on the Iranian Army’s various types of helicopters.
