Tehran, IRNA – Gaza’s health ministry says more than 700,000 displaced people in the besieged territory have contracted infectious, skin, cold, diarrhea and hepatitis diseases.

According to a Monday report by the Sama News, the ministry emphasized that overcrowding, lack of proper shelters, lack of sufficient water and food, as well as the lack of medical and health facilities, have exacerbated the health disaster in Gaza.

At least 26,637 Palestinians have been killed and 65,387 others have been injured in the Israeli regime’s unrelenting attacks on residential areas in Gaza since October 7.

The Zionist regime’s bloody war on Gaza has also displaced hundreds of thousands of people in the besieged territory.

The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) has described conditions in Gaza as “hellish”.

In remarks last week, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called for a ceasefire and a “true solution” to the war, saying, “I’m a true believer because of my own experience that war doesn’t bring solution, except more war, more hatred, more agony, more destruction. So let's choose peace and resolve this issue politically.”
