In a statement on Monday, the ministry said a number of civilians were martyred in the airstrikes that were launched from the occupied Golan Heights.
It said the attacks inflicted material damage on the targeted areas.
The statement came shortly after Syrian media reported that at least two civilians were killed in Israeli strikes in the Sayeda Zeinab neighborhood of Damascus.
Syrian sources said the attack was a failed attempt by the Israeli regime to assassinate more members of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) who are in Syria on an advisory mission as requested by Damascus.
A number of IRGC military advisors have been assassinated by Israeli airstrikes in that neighborhood in recent weeks.
Iran's Ambassador to Syria Hossein Akbari said in a post on X that no Iranian advisory center was targeted in the new Israeli aggression and that no Iranian national or advisor was martyred.
“The blind attacks of the Zionists will not disrupt the resolve of the Axis of Resistance,” the ambassador added.
