Mokhber, who has traveled to Uganda to participate in the 19th summit of the NAM, made the remarks upon arriving at the Entebbe International Airport.
“Currently, an important portion of world powers’ attention is directed at the decisions and trends formed among the existing alliances in the developing world,” he said.
“One of the objectives of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the process of developing international relations is to pay attention to multilateralism and active participation in important, inclusive regional and international mechanisms such as the Non-Aligned Movement.”
Before departing Tehran for Entebbe, Mokhber told reporters that speaking at the summit of the NAM and detailing the views of the Islamic Republic of Iran on various issues, especially the war crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, are the main goals of this trip.
He added that Iran and many other Islamic and independent countries expect the summit to lead to greater coordination and unity to stop the Zionist regime’s war and genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
