Islamabad, IRNA – A ceremony has been held in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta in commemoration of General Qassem Soleimani and those who were killed in two explosions on his fourth martyrdom anniversary in Iran’s southeastern city of Kerman on January 3, 2024.

Iran’s house of culture in Quetta hosted the ceremony late on Saturday.

Some prominent political and religious figures from Pakistan attended the event to show sympathy with the Iranian nation and government over the Kerman tragic incident.

After the incident, Pakistan’s President Arif Alvi condemned the terrorist blasts and extended messages of condolence to his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi and the Iranian nation.

The January 3 blasts in Kerman killed about 90 people and wounded many others.

The terrorist group of Daesh has claimed responsibility for the suicide attacks.
