Gholamreza Gholami, the caretaker of the Crisis Management Office of Fars Province, said on Saturday that there were rumors about a plane crash in the social media earlier in the day after a loud noise of an explosion was heard near Bakhtegan Lake.
He rejected the rumors and said that the origin of the noise is under study.
The official said that the noise may has been caused by an explosion in a nearby mine.
