The burial ceremony for the martyrs of the terrorist explosion in Kerman was held on January 5, 2024, at the Kerman Martyrs Cemetery. The funeral procession was attended by thousands of people, including President Ebrahim Raisi, and took place at the Imam Ali Mosque in the city of Kerman. On Wednesday, a suicide attack by the Daesh terrorist group (ISIS) martyred at least 89 people and injured dozens of others. The attack occurred during a gathering to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani by US terrorists. Two Daesh members detonated themselves during the attack.
