Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has said that the Islamic Republic is making efforts to prevent the spillover of the Gaza war and help ensure navigation security in international seas, however a stop to the war guarantees the security of the region.

Amirabdollahian made the comments on Monday night in a phone conversation with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi as the two discussed the ongoing Gaza war and the Israeli regime’s crimes against Palestinians there.

Despite efforts at the regional and international levels to prevent the continuation and spillover of the war, the Israeli regime is pursuing its aggressive goals in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, Amirabdollahian said.

He referred to international concerns over the security of the Red Sea, saying that the Islamic Republic makes efforts to prevent the war from spilling over and to help ensure navigation security in the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean.
