Tehran, IRNA - In the meeting with Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian praised his positive and constructive positions regarding the events in Palestine and evaluated these positions as carrying a good message for the region and indicating the organization's attention to security, peace and stability in the West Asian region.

During the meeting, Hossein Amirabdollahian emphasized the importance of the expansion of the Islamic Republic of Iran's economic and commercial cooperation.

He emphasized the proposed initiative of the first vice president of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Bishkek meeting on economic and industrial cooperation, including investment, transportation, transit, and environment, and requested the support and follow-up of the Secretary General of the organization in implementing it. 

Also in the meeting, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Organization thanked Amirabdollahian for the successful holding of the Palestine Conference and the principled positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the Palestinian nation, and expressed the view of the Shanghai Organization regarding the Palestine issue from the perspective of the importance that the Shanghai Organization attaches to the security of the Middle East region.
