Hamas issued a statement on Wednesday; the second day of Israeli drone strikes and ground attacks in Jenin and its refugee camp that have so far left at least seven Palestinians dead. Scores of others were detained as well.
The movement, according to Palestinian media, called the attacks a desperate attempt by the Israeli regime to destroy resistance, which Hamas said is growing among the Palestinian people.
Hamas called on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank to intensify resistance until occupiers are defeated and driven out from their land.
Jenin has been a focal point of daily Israeli raids in the since October 7 when the regime launched its war on Gaza. Since then, more than 280 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers.
