Upon his arrival in the Swiss city of Geneva on Tuesday, Amirabdollahian attended a high-level ministerial meeting with the presence of several foreign ministers from various countries, including some Arab and Islamic countries and senior diplomats under the title of "The situation of human rights in occupied Palestinian territories, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and International Humanitarian Rights".
Amirabdollahian expressed the country’s views on the situation of the Palestinian crisis and the alarming humanitarian situation in Gaza and the West Bank as a result of the continuation of the Zionist regime’s atrocities.
The top Iranian diplomat termed the Israeli actions against the Gazans for the past two months as one of the most obvious examples of war crimes and genocide.
He also considered the effective action to immediately stop the Israeli regime's attacks on Gaza, and the West Bank, plus facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid as the urgent duty of the international community, the United Nations, and the UN Security Council.
Amirabdollahian stressed that failure to immediately cease the Israeli apartheid regime’s brutal attacks on civilians in Gaza would lead to expanding the scope of the war.
Iranian Foreign Minister has traveled to the Swiss city of Geneva to take part in the Global Refugee Forum co-hosted by Switzerland and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva from 13 to 15 December 2023.
