Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and Head of Political Bureau of Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas Ismail Haniyeh in a telephone conversation discussed the latest political and field developments in Palestine, as well as the continuation of the Zionist regime's barbaric attack on the Gaza Strip, were discussed.

During the phone conversation, Haniyeh discussed the latest diplomatic actions and movements of the Islamic and Arab countries and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the international arena in support of the Palestinian people and condemned the war crimes of the Zionist regime and stopping the brutal killing of citizens in Gaza and also West Bank.

Iran's foreign minister appreciated the action of the Secretary General of the United Nations in correspondence with the Security Council based on Article 99 of the United Nations Charter and described it as a rare and valuable action to establish peace and security in the world.

Amirabdollahian called the Gaza crisis one of the important topics of the talks between Iran's President Raisi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, and emphasized that important talks have been held between the presidents of Iran and Russia on the issue of Palestine.

Haniyeh also thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its well-known and stable positions in support of the Palestinian nation and the extensive diplomatic efforts of the republic in the regional and international arena in order to end the crimes of the Zionists against the Palestinian nation, the latest situation in Gaza.

He described the ongoing crimes and killing of civilians by the Zionist regime.

Haniyeh stressed that with God's help, the resistance will continue until the Zionist crimes are stopped and the occupation of Palestine is completely removed.
