Tehran, IRNA - Kémi Séba, a prominent revolutionary figure in Africa, has highlighted the historical ties that bind Africa and its ongoing fight against imperialism with the oppressed nation of Palestine, warning of a Zionist plot to sever his bond.

“Africans have faced oppression for 500 years... The crimes in Gaza are a crime against humanity. They (Palestinians) have suffered 70 years of oppression. We hope to dismantle the Zionist puppets with our collective strength,” Séba said at a press conference in Tehran on Wednesday

Colonialism has historically employed methods such as land occupation and apartheid to suppress nations and create division among them, he declared.

The anti-colonial leader said he was in Tehran to formalize their alliance with the Islamic Republic of Iran; as such a unity would eventually lead to victory over imperialism and colonization.

Citing the late leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini, who called upon Iranians to stand against oppression wherever it occured, Séba said the African resistance was similarly committed to fighting against any form of tyranny.

“I came to say that revolutionary Africa is making a comeback and the axis of resistance is becoming stronger,” he stated.

Séba criticized the hypocrisy of Western powers who claim to be supporting Africa while branding as extremists anyone who will strive for freedom.

He said the very nature of anti-colonialist resistance they are pursuing in Africa makes him feel “very close” to Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

“Our struggle is of a nature that non-black individuals are also amazed by it. I find myself much closer to Ayatollah Khamenei than Barack Obama,” he noted.

Palestine has been colonized by the Zionist regime and Zionism, just as Africa has been colonized by multinational companies, Seba said, adding that those who have colonized Palestine are the same people who sought to oust Bashar al-Assad and corrupted the Saudi family in the Syrian issue.

He said that they are also colonizing the French, European and US governments.

Seba however noted that his remarks are not against the Jewish people.

What is going on in Palestine is also taking place in other parts of the world, he said, noting that Indigenous Australians have been oppressed for centuries and the same is taking place in Canada and the Indians and the black population are under the apartheid system in Mauritania.

"We have failed to target the real enemy which is Zionism and Freemasonry," Seba said.

He argued that the West says that you have to be like them to be able to live.

Noting that "we look at the people of Palestine as an oppressed nation", he said that the Zionists do whatever possible to cut the relations of the nations and keep them unaware of the events taking place in Palestine.

The Zionists seek to break the historical relationship between the Africans, Arab countries and Palestine while Iran is actually fighting against imperialism, he said.

The Zionist regime has realized the strategic power of Africa, Seba said, adding that it is the political and economic advantages that have drawn them to Africa.

He underlined the need for Iran to urgently revive cooperation and partnership with Africa.
