Tehran, IRNA – Amid escalation of ground confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli forces, resistance fighters succeeded in targeting a hideout of Israeli troops in Khan Yunis city, destroying 12 cars, one armored vehicle and a tank belonging to the Israeli army.

Shehab News Agency reported on Wednesday that the warring sides are engaged in fierce fighting in three axes of Khan Yunis, Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun cities in the Gaza Strip.

Heavy explosions were heard in the eastern Khan Yunis and local sources reported large smoke in the sky of the city. A gathering of the Israeli regime’s military forces was also targeted in a mortar attack.

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, which is the military wing of the Hamas movement, targeted Israeli troops’ hideout inside a house in eastern Khan Yunis city with mortar and machine gun.

The al-Qassam Brigades announced that 12 military vehicles belonging to the Israeli regime were targeted in Beit Lahia city.

They also issued a statement, declaring that their fighters destroyed an armored vehicle and a Merkava tank in the northern Khan Yunis with al-Yassin 105 missile.

Furthermore, Beit Hanoun city also witnessed fierce fighting between resistance fighters and Israeli forces.

The Hamas military wing also targeted Re'im military base in southern Israeli-occupied territories.

The Palestinian resistance movement succeeded in inflicting heavy blow on the Israeli army in Gaza.

The Israeli army announced on Tuesday that Palestinians fired over 11,000 rockets and missiles from Gaza towards the occupied land since the onset of the Operation Al-Aqsa Storm on October 7.

The Israeli regime lost 9 military personnel over the last 24 hours. Another Israeli officer was killed in a car crash in the southern Israeli-occupied territories.
