Tehran, IRNA – Before traveling to Kenya, Iranian new ambassador to the country Ali Gholampour has met with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian where they stressed the urgency of expansion of ties with developing countries of the south.

During the meeting in Tehran on Monday, the new ambassador briefed the foreign minister on his plans for giving a boost to relations with Kenya.   

The foreign minister, for his part, stressed the significance of Africa and Kenya in Iran’s foreign policy of reaching out to the developing countries of the South.

He also underlined the need for implementing the agreements already signed between the two countries during a recent visit to Kenya by President Ebrahim Raisi.
