Vahid Jalalzadeh, head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, told IRNA on Saturday that the Israeli lobby, which is experiencing a decline in its influence throughout the world, has resorted to putting pressure on the member states of the European Parliament to pursue its agenda.
The lawmaker also noted that the regime is making a desperate attempt with the aim of diverting attention from its heinous crimes in the Gaza Strip; so, it pushed for the approval of the European Parliament’s resolution under the unfounded excuse of violation of women's rights in Iran.
However, such attempts to mislead and influence the world public opinion have undoubtedly been ineffective, because they have been repeated in several occasions, he added.
Jalalzadeh said that the legislative body in Iran calls on the European Parliament and other European institutions to avoid collaborating with the Israeli brutal acts and stop double standard when it comes to human rights.
Definitely, certain European leaders proved that there is no such a thing as human rights due to the European Union and the European Parliament’s all-out support for the Zionist regime as well as their silence and collaboration in human rights violations by the regime, he argued.
