Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari has said that Iran and Turkmenistan will hold the 17th intergovernmental committee session in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

Safari said on Wednesday that the 17th intergovernmental committee session between Iran and Turkmenistan will be held in Ashgabat on November 17-19 to develop and strengthen economic relations between the two countries.

Emphasizing the strategy of developing comprehensive relations with neighbors, he described strengthening relations with Turkmenistan as very important.

He added that discussing various fields of cooperation such as transit and transport, energy, gas, trade and investment, customs, banking and finance, standards, tourism, health, and agriculture are on the agenda of the meeting.

It is agreed that a specialized exhibition of Iranian goods, Iran Project, will be held in Turkmenistan at the same time as the 17th intergovernmental committee session, he further noted.
