Zahedan, IRNA – Secretary of the Anti-Narcotics Coordinating Council in Sistan and Baluchestan province has said that some 200 kilograms of of methamphetamine have been seized during an operation in the southeastern border city of Saravan.

Ali Zandi said to IRNA on Tuesday that the police forces in the southeastern province could identify an armed drug-trafficking gang in the province.

During the operation, 200 kg of methamphetamine was confiscated, he added.

Police also impounded one passenger car used by the smugglers, he further noted.
