Tehran, IRNA – The Iranian president’s deputy for legal affairs says the Zionist regime must be tried as “war criminal” over its incessant bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

The Zionist regime “has committed all the crimes recorded in the International Criminal Court, including genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes in Gaza,” Mohammad Dehqan told reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet session in Tehran on Wednesday.

He said the International Court of Justice, as the highest international court affiliated with the United Nations, must condemn Israel and pressure it to stop these crimes, considering that the Zionist regime has violated all international standards and laws and violated international conventions.

Even if the Zionist regime’s war on Gaza is halted, the legal pursuit of it will not be stopped, the top Iranian official added.
