Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji has announced that the country’s crude oil production has reached 3.4 million barrels per day (bpd).

The latest reports show that Iran’s oil production has reached 3.4 million barrels per day, while it accounted for nearly 2.2 million barrels per day when the incumbent administration took office, Owji told the media reporters on Wednesday on the sideline of cabinet meeting.

He added  that based on the plans and invested projects on the joint and independent oil fields, whether on land or in the sea, we hope that Iran's oil production to increase.

Iranian Minister in his remarks said that according to recent data released by Iran's Planning and Budget Organization and the Central Bank of Iran, economic growth of oil and gas group during the first three months of this year (March 21-June 21) was 19.6 percent.
