Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber is scheduled to take part in the 22nd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan.

Deputy Chief of Iran's presidential office for political affairs Mohammad Jamshidi said on Monday that the planned meeting will be the first in-person meeting of the prime ministers of the SCO member states following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and also the first official meeting of the SCO after Iran became a full member of the alliance.

He said the main objectives of the meeting, which will be held on October 26, will be to approve the organizations’ agenda and program for a next summit of SCO heads of states, as well as to coordinate necessary measures to deepen collaborations among member states in the fields of trade, economy, culture, and humanitarian issues in light of new political developments in the world.
