The discussions took place on the sidelines of the 61st Annual Session of the Asian African Legal Consultative Organization in Bali, Indonesia.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Reza Najafi, met with Indonesia’s Minister of Law and Human Rights, Yasonna Laoly.
Najafi highlighted the importance of Tehran-Jakarta interactions in international communities and called for further consultations on significant issues, particularly the situation in Palestine.
The officials also discussed expanding legal cooperation to extradite national prisoners.
Laoly expressed readiness to facilitate the return of Iranian prisoners to their homeland and welcomed the strengthening of bilateral legal relations with Iran. He also emphasized the need for a truce in Palestine.
The 61st Annual Session of the Asian African Legal Consultative Organization is currently underway in Bali and will last for six days.
