The Iranian president made the remarks in a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday.
He stressed the urgency for the Muslim world to counter the Zionist crimes and make efforts to put an end to the brutal attacks on the defenseless Gazan women and children.
President Raisi described the situation going on in Gaza as “genocide” and “crime against humanity”, stressing the need for lifting the siege on Gaza and dispatching basic items to the people of this region.
He also warned against the spread of the war to other parts of the region, and said that the Zionist regime proved once again that it is a racist and anti-human regime which will spare no effort to reach its goals.
The Turkish president, for his part, expressed regret and concern over the developments in Gaza and the non-stop bombardment of residential areas which have left more than 2,700 people dead with over 9,500 others wounded.
Noting that what is going on in Gaza today has saddened all the Muslims of the world, Erdogan said that Turkiye is ready to provide aid to the people of Gaza and will continue with its efforts in this regard.
