Tehran, IRNA – Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber is to visit Belarus on Tuesday, Mohammad Jamshidi, the Iranian president's deputy chief of staff for political affairs said.

During his visit, Mokhber is scheduled to meet with the president, prime minister, and speaker of the Parliament of Belarus. Additionally, high-level bilateral talks between the two countries’ delegations are on the agenda.

Jamshidi highlighted that the presidents’ bilateral meetings on the sidelines of regional and international summits, as well as President Alexander Lukashenko’s visit to Tehran last year, demonstrate a readiness for a comprehensive enhancement of economic relations. This could potentially lead to significant agreements during the upcoming trip.

He also noted that the policy of Western countries imposing sanctions against independent nations necessitates finding more common ground and bilateral solutions to overcome these oppressive sanctions.
