Mashhad, IRNA- The 6.4-magnitude quake that shook the province of Herat in Afghanistan on Sunday has been felt in northeastern city of Mashahd.

According to Iranian Seismological Center Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran, a strong 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck the Afghan city of Herat, the IRNA reported on Sunday.

Accordingly, the quake took place at 07:05 hours local time at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Director General of education department in Khorasan Razavi province Amir Shoushtari said on Sunday that classes in the three schools of the province will be held online today.
