The talks were held on the sidelines of the 2023 annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Morocco, the IRNA reported on Saturday.
The IsDB president appreciated the initiatives made by the Iranian finance minister and his team during the past two years to pay back debts to the Islamic bank.
Al Jasser hoped that the remaining questions between the two sides will be solved soon and the ground will be prepared for implementation of joint projects in the current year.
Since the past two years, Iran has repaid over €250 million of its debts to the Islamic Development Bank. Also, reforms in the banking relations have paved the way for resuming implementation of the IsDB projects worth over €700 million; the projects which had already been ceased.
Saudi Arabia, Libya and the Islamic Republic of Iran are respectively the main three shareholders of the Islamic Development Bank affiliated to Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
