Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi has said that the enemy’s spy agencies are trying to cause strife between the Iranian society and Afghan immigrants after losing hope on provoking riots.

“A mysterious movement has begun regarding Afghan nationals to cause strife between Iranian society and these immigrants,” Vahidi wrote on his account on social media late on Friday.

“The enemy’s espionage agencies work on this issue after becoming disappointed in sparking riots,” he said.

The minister stressed, however, that Iranian governors must act within the framework of the regulations regarding foreign nationals and immigrants.
