Tehran, IRNA – Foreign ministers of Iran and the Philippines have discussed developments in the Palestinian territories and the Zionist regime’s crimes against people in the Gaza Strip where a conflict is ongoing following a surprise operation by resistance forces in response to “growing Israeli crimes” against the Palestinians.

Iran’s Top Diplomat Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Filipino counterpart Enrique Manalo held a phone conversation on Wednesday night Tehran time.

Amirabdollahian said that the October 7 operation launched by the Palestinian resistance groups against the Zionist regime is a ‘fully Palestinian measure” taken in response to the “occupation of the Palestinian land.”

The Philippines’ top diplomat expressed concern over the continued violence in the Gaza Strip. He called on Iran to help determine the whereabouts of a number of Filipino nationals who have gone missing as a result of the conflict.
