Tehran, IRNA – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami says those who committed a heinous crime by targeting a military academy in the Syrian city of Homs will pay a heavy price.

In a message addressed to top Syrian military officials on Saturday, Salami condemned the terrorist drone attack that killed hundreds, including civilians and graduates of the Homs military academy in central Syria, two days ago.

“The perpetrators of this crime and their sponsors will face a massive response and a surprising vengeance by the faithful warriors and fighters of the Islamic resistance and will pay a heavy price."

Syria’s health ministry figures show some 89 people were killed and 277 more were injured in the terrorist attack that targeted the military academy in Homs on October 5.
