Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Vietnamese counterpart Bui Thanh Son have discussed issues of mutual interest.

The meeting was held on the sidelines pf the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the IRNA reported on Friday.

He described the relations between Iran and Vietnam as deep-rooted, friendly and expanding.

The top diplomat also offered Iran's readiness to develop all-out relations.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to hold an inter-governmental commission between the two countries, he stated.

The official stressed support for the private sector and chambers of commerce in order to strengthen relations and increase the volume of commercial exchanges between the two countries.

It is necessary to sign documents to facilitate commercial cooperation between the two countries, he reiterated.

Meanwhile, Thanh Son expressed readiness for holding the inter-governmental commission, underlining continuation of consultations.
