Setayeshi made the remarks on Tuesday during a weekly briefing with reporters.
He said that a French woman and a man were also under arrest because of espionage charges.
The official said the case of these French spies had been sent to the court after a comprehensive investigation.
Setayeshi said the case has been studied twice by the defendants’ lawyers.
