Tehran, IRNA – Saudi Arabia's new Ambassador to Tehran Abdullah bin Saud al-Anzi has submitted a copy of his credential to Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian.

During a meeting in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on Sunday, al-Anzi submitted a copy of his credentials to the top Iranian diplomat.

Earlier, the Iranian newly-appointed ambassador to Saudi Arabia Alireza Enayati began his mission in the country following a seven-year-long thaw in diplomatic relations between Tehran and Riyadh.

Enayati arrived in the Saudi capital on September 5, 2023, and was accorded welcome by the country’s foreign ministry officials as well as Iranian embassy staff.

At the same time, Saudi Arabia’s new ambassador to Iran arrived in Tehran. Alanazi, a seasoned diplomat, previously served as the Saudi ambassador to Oman.
