Speaking at a conference on the role of cooperatives in the economy, Raisi urged all authorities working in the executive to facilitate the presence of cooperatives in domestic and foreign markets “because they can play a significant role in the development of trade and commerce.”
He noted that Iran’s growing relations with neighboring, Islamic, and aligned countries, as well as important economic alliances in the world, show that the ground has been paved for Iran’s labor market.
“The Iranian nation has managed to create many opportunities for itself from sanctions and threats. God has given many opportunities to this country, enabling young people to work very well and do great things,” he added.
Iranian Labor and Social Welfare Minister Solat Mortazavi also said at the conference that more than 101,000 cooperatives are currently active in Iran and contribute to the country’s economy.
The administration aims to further strengthen and develop cooperatives in the country’s economy and use people’s capacities, he said.
