Zahedan, IRNA – Over 268 kg of methamphetamine narcotics were confiscated in an operation by Iranian drug enforcement police in southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan, according to police commander of the province.

Brigadier-General Doustali Jalilian told IRNA on Sunday that through intelligence studies, the police found out that a gang of drug dealers were going to carry narcotic drugs from a house in the province to central country.

The official added that the police rangers stepped in and carried out a surprise operation in which more than 268 kg of methamphetamine was found and confiscated from the house.  

He, however, noted that the drug dealers had fled the house before the police arrived.
