Tehran, IRNA – Iran has made the country’s first catalyst for gasoline production and is exporting the product, according to Deputy Oil Minister Jalil Salari.

Salari, also the CEO of the country’s state-run fuel company NIORDC, made the remarks at a press conference on Saturday without mentioning to which country the product is exported.

He noted that the catalyst has been co-produced by the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry and a knowledge-based company.

The official said that the enemies should know that exerting pressure on Iran is futile.

He added that some 21 tons of the catalyst has been exported to a foreign refinery for gasoline production.

“We are not just eyeing on the European markets,” he said.
