Tehran, IRNA – Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces hails Iran’s air defense, noting that with this level of preparedness, no country will dare to violate the country’s airspace.

Major General Mohammad Baqeri made the remarks speaking on the sidelines of the Velayat aerial drills on Monday.

Noting that the maneuver has reached its goals, Baqeri said that drones and fighter jets, as well as the transport, support, refueling and air ambulance aircraft successfully carried out their missions in the drills.      

The wargames began across Iran on Sunday.

Brigadier General Alireza Roudbari, the spokesman for the drills said earlier on Monday that during the maneuver, a versatile fleet of 92 aircraft will carry out an array of aerial operations, including reconnaissance missions, bombing of air and ground targets, psychological warfare tactics, and electronic warfare simulations.
