Prior to departure for Ankara, Mohammad-Hassan Habibollahzadeh met Amirabdollahian in Tehran on Saturday where he he elaborated on his plans for expansion of bilateral relations between Iran and Turkiye in different political, economic and cultural areas.
Amirabdollahian, for his part, stressed the good neighborliness policy of President Ebrahim Raisi while underlining the significance of enhancement of ties with Muslim and friendly nations.
The Iranian foreign minister offered some guidelines for promotion of different political, economic, cultural and consular relations between Iran and Turkiye.
Habibollahzadeh has previously served as an aide to the Iranian foreign minister and in top role including directorship of Iranian Foreign Ministry’s department for Mediterranean and East European Affairs, directorship of Foreign Ministry’s department for media diplomacy affairs. He has also served as Iranian ambassador to Norway and as charge d’affaires to the UK.
