Papaya, a tropical fruit considered a delicacy, has found its way from the Central American tropical regions to Iran. Known for its thin skin and sweet flavor, papaya is not only consumed as a food but also utilized in various processing industries.
The establishment of a papaya greenhouse within the Imam Reza Greenhouse Complex in North Khorasan Province is both a research and commercial venture. Initiated last year, the project has now reached the production stage, covering an area of 7,000 square meters. (IRNA photos/Vahid Khademi)
