Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi has said that the Mig-29 electronic warfare simulator has been made operational and will be handed over to air bases in the coming days.

Mousavi made the remarks on the sidelines of visiting Shahid Sattari Aeronautical University, southwestern Tehran.

The simulator has been successfully tested and finalized by the skilled Iranian pilots and will soon be delivered to the units that have MiG-29 aircraft, he stated.

The electronic warfare system improves the operational capacity of the units and is one of the valuable achievements at Shahid Sattari Aeronautical University, he noted.

He went on to say that the electronic warfare simulators of all aircraft, including F-4 and Sukhoi Su-24, were made by researchers and commanders of Shahid Sattari Aeronautical University.
