Tehran, IRNA- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has met with his Syrian counterpart, Faisal Mekdad, on the sidelines of a ministerial summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Amirabdollahian met with Mekdad on Thursday at the venue of the summit in Baku. They exchanged views on important regional developments, including the Israelis regime’s aggression.

Iran’s top diplomat also held meetings with his counterparts from Kuwait and Malaysia on the sidelines of the summit on Wednesday.

The two-day foreign ministerial meeting of NAM started in Baku on Wednesday under the slogan of “united and steadfast in confronting emerging challenges.”

Founded in 1961 in Belgrade, NAM has 120 members and 21 observers. The organization has sought to remain independent from global centers of power.
