Tehran, IRNA – Albania’s police forces have been stationed at the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MKO) terrorist group’s camp in the Manez district of Durres city once again.

The police are stationed at the entrance of Ashraf 3 camp and control all vehicles leaving the camp, according to Albanian Daily News.

On June 20, armed clashes happened between the MKO terrorists and the Albanian police as the police inspected a base of the MKO in Manez.

During the last operation, computers and other electronic devices were seized by the Albanian police forces.

Following the incident on June 20, Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib extended his gratitude to the government of Albania for taking “independent actions” against the anti-Iran MKO terrorist organization.

In a series of tweets posted on June 21, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani reiterated the fact that apart from Albania no other country in the world has agreed to host the terrorist group after it was expelled from Iraq in September 2012.

Meanwhile, the Albanian prosecutor has stated that the attempts and activities of the MKO in Albanian territory have been contrary to agreements reached between the government and this group.

The MKO has conducted numerous assassinations and bombings against Iranian statesmen and civilians that caused nearly 17,000 deaths since the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in 1979.
