Tehran, IRNA – The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi says the organization has a vision to bring its nuclear research to the industrial level by commercializing its products and services.

Speaking in a TV interview on Sunday, Kamalvandi said Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s remarks earlier in the day in a meeting with AEOI officials and staff members “gave all of us extra energy to move quickly” toward realizing our objectives.

“The vision of the organization is to be able to have a strong organization that can bring research to the industrial phase and then to (the area of) business,” he said.

“Today, parts of these industries are obviously having an impact on people's lives, and they were mentioned and stressed by the Supreme Leader as well,” he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei said on Sunday that the nuclear industry is important in terms of the progress and capabilities the country makes in technical, economic, health, and other fields, adding that the industry gives prestige to the country and makes life better for its people.

The nuclear industry “is important for this reason as well as in terms of the global and international political weight of the country,” he said.
