Tehran, IRNA – A former deputy head of Iran's Table Tennis Federation has been appointed as the head coach of Oman's national women's table tennis team.

The appointment of Fatemeh Keyvani has been announced by Oman Table Tennis Association (OTTA), according to Saturday report by the IRNA.

Keyvani has a one-year contract with the OTTA under which she is expected to increase the number of female table tennis players in the Arab country and to help them improve their technical capacities, said the report. 

Omid Shams, another Iranian coach, has been leading Oman's men's national table tennis teams since 2021.
