Tehran, IRNA – Iran's female Taekwondo fighter Nahid Kiyani who won the gold medalist at the Baku world competitions just a week ago, has seized a silver medal at Roma 2023 World Taekwondo Grand Prix.

Kiyani finished runner-up in the -57kg weight class on the tournament on Friday. 

Taekwondo fighter won matches against rivals from Thailand, Morocco, Chinese Taipei, and South Korea before reaching the final where she was defeated by Britain's Jade Jones.

The Roma 2023 World Taekwondo Grand Prix, which is a qualification competition for the Olympic games, kicked off in Italy on Friday and will last for three days.
