Tehran, IRNA – The Zionist regime has reportedly handed over the body of an Egyptian policeman who shot dead three Israeli soldiers on Saturday.

According to a report by Israel’s Channel 12 on Monday, the regime returned the body of Mohamed Salah Ibrahim to Egyptian authorities earlier in the day.

Mohamed Salah, 22, shot and killed three Zionist soldiers at the border between Egypt and the occupied territories.

The Egyptian government and the Zionist regime confirmed the incident.

Mohamed Salah was reportedly from Cairo and set to end his military service in the near future.

Egyptian media have said that personal motive was behind the incident, and described it as a weak point for the Israeli regime’s military.

Mohamed Saleh’s move however has drawn positive reactions on social media from some Arab activists who have hailed his courage and described him as “a real honor for Arabs.”

They have also described the Egyptian policeman’s measure as an indication that the resistance is alive against the Zionist regime.
