Orumiyeh, IRNA – The Iranian minister of interior has said that relations between Iran and Iraq are strong and robust as he insists that the two neighbors could not easily be separated from each other.

Ahmad Vahidi made the remarks at the first meeting of governors general of border provinces of Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan region held in northwest of Iran on Thursday.

In his remarks, Vahidi termed the United States and the Zionist regime as the enemies of Iran and Iraq, adding that they cannot tolerate friendship and brotherhood between the two nations.

The message of today's meeting is that the foes have been defeated in their attempts to create a rift between people living on the two sides of the borders.
