Tehran, IRNA – In a decree issued earlier this week to appoint Ali-Akbar Ahmadian as the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), President Ebrahim Raisi urged the country's new top security official to adopt innovative approaches to security.

Details of Raisi's decree published on Saturday showed that the president had called on Ahmadian to make use of innovative and smart approaches in dealing with different national security issues, including social, political and economic challenges and opportunities.

President Raisi noted in his decree that he expects the new SNSC chief to employ the potentials of the nation in order to create a people-oriented and sustainable security.

He also called on Iran’s new top security official to expand Iran’s security depth and to help establish further synergy among the intelligence, security, executive and judicial bodies of the country.

President Raisi wished success for Ahmadian in carrying out his duties to serve the Iranian nation and in the fulfilment of the guidelines of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
