Tehran, IRNA- Iran’s Minister of Interior Ahmad Vahidi and General To Lam, the minister of public security of Vietnam, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on combating cybercrime, organized crime, and drug trafficking.

“An agreement has been signed on economic, political, science and technology, and especially security issues, including organized crime, drug trafficking, and cybercrime,” Vahidi said on Saturday at a press conference after meeting with visiting Gen. To Lam.

He said the Vietnamese official was in Tehran as part of a plan to expand relations between Iran and Vietnam on all fronts.

“Iran and Vietnam have good relations, and the perspectives of the two countries are close to each other, and they pay attention to each other’s interests,” the minister stated.

Vahidi further emphasized that the latest agreement would mark “a better future for the relations between the two countries.”
