Tehran, IRNA - Iranian and Omani economy ministers in a meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, stressed the need to execute the agreements reached between the two countries in custom and investment fields.

Iranian Economy Minister Ehsan Khandouzi and his Omani counterpart Sultan al-Hassabi met on the sidelines of on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) in Jeddah on Sunday.

During the meeting, Khandouzi pointed to a recent visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to Oman, which he said was important to relations between Iran and Oman while declaring Iran's full preparedness to welcome the Sultan of Oman in Tehran.

He also said that relations between Iran and Oman is currently at a level which is beyond normal official relations.

During the meeting, the two ministers called for setting up joint committees to expedite the implementation of the custom and investment agreements already signed between the two countries.

The annual IsDB meetings began on May 10 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and will wrap up on May 13.
