Tehran, IRNA – Given a year-on-year rise of 41% in Iran-Oman annual trade, the two countries can reach a target of $3 billion in bilateral trade in the short term, according to the president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA).  

Gholam Hossein Shafei made the remarks while addressing a joint business forum of Iran and Oman in the Iranian capital on Monday.

He cited official figures which indicated that Iran’s exports to Oman had grown by 51% over the Iranian calendar year to March 20 in comparison to figures from the year before.

Shafei also said that Iran’s imports from Oman had also registered a 29% year-on-year rise in the last calendar year.
